Hedgerow Coffee and Cake is a family business with Jenny Ferrow running it . What started as a part time coffee van at the local beach and standing at local family fun days, it has slowly been nurtured into a full time business supplying a National Trust beach car park and standing at 3 day festivals within the Southwest of England. Over the 6 years of trading we know what makes a good coffee and how best to serve it at a busy event . We like to individually cater to your event and what we think your customer will want to experience. Our name and brand was created due to our love of nature and living in the Devon countryside. The cakes and sweet treats are mostly flavored with flavors from our local Hedgerows and using homegrown edible flowers for decorations. We use flavors such as Blackberry ,Wildberries , Gorse and Nettle just to name a few and our most popular item is our homemade cookies such as Lavender, Elderflower , Rosemary , Sage and Hibiscus. Each year we like to play with different flavors to create new exciting cakes for our customers.

As the business has grown we have tried to keep it as environmentally friendly as possible from our compostable cups to our cardboard packaging. The compostable cups are not the ideal solution but the best that there is on the market and of course we welcome people to bring their own drinking vessels. Most of the flavors and flowers are handpicked from our garden meaning no pesticides or anything sprayed upon them. The vehicle has two large batteries supplying the power which are then charged overnight from a domestic solar power/battery setup. All the baking is done again by solar power . The table and chairs for the seating area are second hand items which have been lovingly restored. At the end of the day we generally do a beach clean if serving on the coast or a clean up of the immediate area when at festivals or events.
